Mobile Engineer

You'll build the Bamudda merchant app so business owners can manage orders, get notified of sales, and chat with customers from their phone — even on a patchy connection. Mobile is how most of our merchants work, so this app is central to the product, not an afterthought.
You'll design offline-tolerant flows, ship to the app stores, and keep the app fast and reliable on low-end devices. Fully remote, open worldwide.
What you'll do
- Ship the Bamudda merchant app (orders, notifications, chat)
- Design offline-tolerant flows for low-connectivity regions
- Own releases, crash reporting and performance on low-end devices
- Integrate push notifications and real-time order updates
What you'll bring
- 3+ years mobile development (Flutter, React Native or native)
- You've shipped and maintained apps in production
- Care for performance and reliability on constrained networks

- Pair with AI coding assistants (e.g. Claude Code) to scaffold, refactor and review changes faster
- Use AI to draft tests, migrations and documentation, then verify and harden them
- Investigate incidents and logs with AI copilots to cut time-to-fix
